AgentPanes on iPhone listing Codex, Claude Code and Hermes agents ordered by recent activity across two machines
The Agents screen on iPhone, captured with sample hosts.

The work keeps going when you step away

Coding agents run for minutes or hours at a time, often on more than one machine. AgentPanes gives you one place to look: every Herdr agent and tmux pane across your hosts, ordered by observed activity, one tap from a real terminal.

Your existing sessions, opened where they are

AgentPanes reads the Herdr and tmux sessions you already have and opens the one you choose, with native terminal rendering and keyboard handling. There is no new agent platform to adopt and no dashboard to maintain.

What it does today

  • Native on iPhone and iPad. Swift and SwiftUI, with a native terminal renderer and no web view wrapped inside. A native Mac app is awaiting App Store review. The Android app, in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, is in development.
  • Works with the tools you use. Discovers Claude Code, Codex and Hermes sessions through Herdr and tmux. Unknown agents still appear with a neutral mark.
  • Plain SSH, your way. Password login, OpenSSH Ed25519 key import, or host-led Tailscale SSH approval. Add any host your phone can reach.
  • Nothing to install on your servers. No AgentPanes daemon, plugin or script. Herdr and tmux actions are explained before you allow them, one machine at a time, and can be revoked later.
  • Credentials stay on the device. Secrets are protected by iOS Keychain or Android Keystore-backed storage, behind biometrics or the device passcode.
  • One pane gets your attention. Open the Herdr target or the isolated tmux pane you picked. Neighbouring panes keep running untouched. Separate zoom preferences for tmux and for Herdr or plain shells.

No. The app connects from your device to your chosen host over SSH. No AgentPanes or Vyntel server relays the session.
Does it work without Tailscale?
Yes. Use any SSH host your device can reach. Tailscale is optional and runs separately on your devices.
